Every two years, Ambulancezorg Nederland (AZN) pairs up with V&VN (the Dutch care workers & ambulance staff association) to host the Ambulance Challenge, a two-day event filled with demos, presentations and a competition in which teams of ambulance staff face off on a challenging course set out on the Ambulance Academy grounds in Harderwijk.
Fixvision spent two days on site to create a high-spirited video report of this special day. During this year’s Ambulance Challenge, the academy inaugurated its Experium, a training area containing a city square and a number of buildings, in which emergency services are able to train in realistic scenarios. During the inaugural training session, a situation involving DSI, ambulances, police and fire trucks was simulated. Fixvision set up a livestream of the session to a lecture hall filled with 300 spectators, including the Minister of Health, Welfare & Sport.
